               The department was started in 1977 when Food and Nutrition was introduced as an optional paper in the B.Sc. programme. The subject has attracted good students and become a popular elective at the undergraduate level. It started Post Graduate course M.Sc Nutrition & dietetics in 2001, first its kind in the entire country. It has a special papers to suit the present day Job requirements
