The department of Psychology was established in 1967. The department offers Psychology as one of Optional subjects for Undergraduate students. It also offers a P.G.Diploma in Child Psychology, which enables students to specialize in family and child psychology. The department started a counseling center in 1993.It offers Counseling as an extension service to students of the college. The department periodically conducts "Psychology Exhibitions" to create awareness among general public and to eradicate various misconception about psychology from the minds of people.
The department offers personal counseling, career counseling and conducts small duration training programmes for students of the college. Counseling services are also provided for dealing with behavior problems in children. |
