Message from Director (Hostels)


My warm greetings to the students for taking admission into the Telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam University, Koti, Hyderabad and welcome you to the hostel facility which provides unprecedented homely and healthy environment with uncompromised safety and security.

The staff at the hostels make incessant and sincere efforts to provide clean environment, disciplined lifestyle and comfortable stay for two years to boarders. Our hostels also provide a suitable ambience to the students coming from different parts of Telangana state with different socio-economic backgrounds and diverse cultures and traditions. Hostels ensures the culmination of students’ varied upbringings to promote peace and harmony among them, develop leadership qualities and life skill sets by assignment of various responsibilities in the management of hostels, moulding them to be future ready by developing inter-personal relationships, exchange of ideas and constant interactions with fellow boarders and create beautiful memories in the lush green campus at the hostels.

The infrastructural facilities at the hostels include amenities such as:

The hostel boarders are encouraged to participated in colourful and vibrant events like hostel day, holi, all the festive celebrations of different religions and regions, etc encouraging them to showcase their innate gifted talents and skills.

 

The hostel boarders are expected to exhibit high degree of integrity, responsibility, cooperation and behaviour and bring laurels to the University through their hardwork and dedication. The parents can be rest assured that their ward is safe and secure in our hostel with slight cooperation from them.  In the century old history of the university, the hostels have withstood the testing times to produce greatest number of successful alumni.

The Esteemed Committee members meet regularly to monitor various activities of the hostel as per the academic schedule, propose new projects and plans for the betterment of infrastructural facilities at the hostels, for provision of better boarding and mess facilities to the hostel boarders and improvise the measures of safety and security of the students.  

 

 

ADMISSION PROCESS

 

A notice will be released at the beginning of the academic year to facilitate students to apply for Admission in to the Hostels for 2nd year (Third Semester) B.A. / B. Com / B. Sc. through the below link:

Through the counselling and based on the Rooster points (points are awarded based on the distance of the boarder from university, socio-economic parameters, NCC/NSS/PH, etc), the list of the students admitted provisionally to the Hostels will be displayed.

 

The students of the fifth semester will be given admission into the hostels through the renewal process by applying through online using the same above link.

 

ADMISSION FEE DETAILS

 

Deposit amount is as follows (to be paid by third semester students)

·         For SC/ST students – Rs. 6000 + Rs. 560

·         For BC students – Rs. 7000 + Rs. 560

·         For OC students – Rs. 8000 + Rs. 560

·         Hostel Admission fee of Rs. 560 is non-refundable and payable by all the students taking admission into hostel

·         Hostel Renewal fee to be paid by fifth semester students – Rs. 500/- (Non-refundable amount)

·         Minimum distance for the Hostel admission is 100 km.

The following documents are requested to be submitted during the counselling session by third semester students:

 

·         Application printout and payment receipt

·         Copy of Caste Certificate issued by Mandal Revenue Officer

·         Copy of latest Income Certificate issued by Mandal Revenue Officer

·         Original Distance Certificate issued by District Revenue Officer or by Roads & Buildings Department, Government of Telangana or RTC

·         Latest passport size photos – 2 no.s

·         Copy of Aadhaar card

 

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE HOSTELS, TMV

 

The students seeking admission into the hostels of the University are herewith instructed strictly to following the given below rules and regulations in principle and sign the Undertaking during admission

 

1.      I shall obey the rules and regulations of the Hostel and any amendments thereof in word.

2.      I shall at all times maintain the discipline and decorum of the Hostel.

3.      I shall preserve, tend and safeguard the property of the hostel, and shall not knowingly or otherwise destroy, damage, or deface Hostel property.

4.      I shall keep my room and the common grounds of the hostel clean and tidy at all times and will make it available for inspection as and when required.

5.      I shall wear an attire / dress which is decent, presentable and dignified inside the Hostel premises.

6.      I shall not enter the dining hall with hair kept loose and maintain discipline while having breakfast/lunch/dinner. I shall abide by the timings of the dining hall.

7.      I shall not waste food / drinking water during my stay at the hostel. I shall use water carefully and judiciously for daily activities too.

8.      I shall respect the kitchen staff and other hostel staff for preparing and serving food to me and maintaining my room neat and clean.

9.      I shall take up the mess duty and other responsibilities if given and execute to the satisfaction of my seniors and concerned authorities.

10.  I understand that ragging is strictly prohibited and is an offence. Any involvement will lead to my immediate termination from the university.

11.  I understand that use of any addictive substance like tobacco, alcohol, narcotic or sedative drugs, etc., is strictly prohibited in the hostel / Institute. I will be liable for any disciplinary action for indulgence in such activity, viz., smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks or any other intoxicating substance in the hostel and university premises and found under its influence at any point of time /place during my studies in the university.

12.  I shall give full details of my health history to the concerned authorities in case of any history of surgery / medical operation / ailments / allergies and the medication taken.I shall give the details of any health issues / communicable / infectious diseases to the concerned to prevent the spread of the same to fellow boarders at the Hostels.

13.  I will maintain my valuables in my own custody. The hostel management is not responsible for any loss or damage.

14.  I agree that no entry or exit will be made by me at any time from the hostel without Gate Pass and prior information to the concerned authorities. I shall produce the Gate Pass at the security at entry and exit from the hostel.

15.  I understand that prior permission (in the form of a handwritten letter duly signed by Director (Hostels) / Wardens / any other competent authority) has to be obtained to visit outside campus for bonafide purpose; I will be solely responsible for my safety and protection during my departure and return to the university. In case I leave the hostel without prior permission, university can initiate the disciplinary action against me and university authorities are not responsible for my safety.

16.  In the event, when I take a leave (with permission) to visit hometown or other places, I will be solely responsible for my safety and protection during my departure and return to the Institute.

17.  In the event of my parents / guardians or relatives are visiting me, I will inform the Warden in advance and access / contact with them, meeting in the hostel or going out for local visit will be with the consent of the Competent Authority / Warden / Director (Hostels) (Written permission).

18.  I understand that no friends or outsiders are allowed in the hostel premises. In case sibling / relative if found residing in the hostel, any such visit will be seen as a serious misconduct, inviting penalty.

19.  I shall board personal vehicle belonging to me and/or booked private vehicles (cabs, auto, etc) outside the premises of the Hostels. In case of any emergency, the concerned authorities will be informed for any kind of assistance. No arguments / discussions by me or by my family members will be indulged in for allowing the vehicles into hostel premises.

20.  In case of enrolment in any Coaching Institute for coaching / training / sports classes, the coaching institute identity card and details of enrolment along with the address of the Institute will be provided to the office of Director (Hostels). The identity card will be produced whenever asked at the entry / exit at the entrance of the university.

21.  I will play a proactive role as a student and suggestions / feedback for improvement or any concerns about aspects of hostel life will be brought to the notice of hostel incharge immediately.

22.  I will strive to play a proactive role in maintaining cordial & harmonious relations with all, group, individual and authorities on the campus. I understand that the university observes a non-negotiable stand with regard to issues of caste, creed and communal harmony.

23.  I understand that my involvement in any unacceptable behavior under the code of conduct and above and any violation of hostel rules will lead to my immediate expulsion from the hostel / university.

24.  I will not change my allotted room without permission from the authority.

25.  I shall strictly observe and abide by the code of conduct the Hostel.

26.  100% attendance is compulsory for the hostel boarders in all the subjects and in all the papers
